Let’s Eat!!! #SandwichEatUp 5

Last week was Deli Fresh Thread’s fifth #SandwichEatUp and I was finally able to make it! Due to unforeseen life events, I haven’t been able to make it to a #SandwichEatUp since the second one at Hot Krust (which is a whole different flashback post of awesomeness). This fifth one was at Yellow Dog Eats. I was excited because I have been there before and been wanting to go back, plus it’s been too long since I’ve seen everyone.

Yellow Dog Eats was a great choice because of the variety of awesome sandwiches. I had the intention of getting something different but couldn’t resist and went with what I’ve had before…..the Club Elvis!

Club Elvis

This delicious goodness is made up of tender pulled pork decadently topped with pecan-smoked bacon,Gouda cheese, crispy fried onions and topped with Fish’s Gold BBQ sauce, served on a fun-fluffy bun. It was a bit messy and I needed a new napkin after each bite, but it was well worth it!!

While I waited for my sandwich, i snacked on some tomato and mozzarella with red wine vinaigrette drizzled over them. They were very smartly placed where you go to order at the register.. If they have it, I recommend it as a good starter

I ended my dining experience with their Butterfinger Cheesecake.

It was an awesome compliment to dinner and was just the right size.

It was great to catch up with everyone and to meet new people. This is a great monthly event that Biggie, the owner of Deli Fresh Threads, has created to bring people together. It’s nice to know I’m not the only crazy about a well made sandwich. 🙂 Plus, I’ve learned of at least one different place to eat in Central Florida at each event. If you have the opportunity, you should definitely make one of the upcoming #SandwichEatUp events. The next one is going to be at Brianto’s. You can find the details on Google+and Facebook.

Have you ever eaten at Yellow Dog Eats? What’s your favorite sandwich there?
