Nine down.

I did my first weigh-in on Monday and received awesome news that I lost 9lbs during my first true healthy living week! I stuck to my new eating plan (no longer calling it a diet) and exercised at least 3 days.

As mentioned last week, I temporarily retired from running and started the elliptical. I ended up getting off work a little early on Friday and went directly to the gym.

It was a great workout and my knees felt a lot better with no issues afterwards. The elliptical had always gotten the best of me in the past, but I think the two weeks of run/walking helped build up my endurance to get it done this time. The workout also went by really fast compared to the run/walking but I think I can attribute that to being able to watch the Casey Anthony trial the whole time

I had the weekend off from the gym to rest and I was good the whole time with sticking to my eating plan.

Even though it was a holiday weekend, it was still a Monday, so I went to the gym in the morning and did 45 minutes on the elliptical.

It was another great workout and look at those calories burned!! It felt really great to go in the morning. I was energized the whole day. I am thinking I might have to figure a way to get myself fired up in the morning to go before work. I think the work day would be a lot better.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I decided to take the weekend off from bloggin’. Plus I am starting to realize that a lot of people clear their Google Reader on Mondays, so I may keep posts to Tuesday – Friday, but we’ll see. I actually don’t have that many followers yet, so it may be best to just keep at it.

WOOOOOOOO!! on the weight loss — and the endurance. You’re making such great progress!

I have noticed that people are slowly moving from posting on FB/Twitter onto my blog – it’s taken a while! You’re site used to be blocked at work, but it’s not anymore. Yay!

@Michelle Thanks! 🙂 Yeah, I figure it’s going to take some time to get more followers and to get people use to posting on here. Glad the new job doesn’t block me!! 🙂

@Bern Thank you! 🙂 Yeah, I am going to change it up once I start lifting next week. I may take a class or two with the wifey to change up the cardio once in a while. I can’t wait to see everyone in Oct too!!

I’m a little jealous on the 9 lbs. You lost them but I think I found them. 🙂 Isn’t it amazing how fast endurance can build up?

Oh, and I hear you on the posting on weekends. I clear my reader a lot because it’s just too overwhelming to catch up. So, I read a few favorites but that’s about it. But I still like to post, because I like to keep what I have on the blog fairly current and not what I did 3 days ago, ya know?

@Paula Ha! I’m sure you didn’t find them even though they were probably chasing you after the holiday weekend.

Yeah, it’s been bugging me that I haven’t posted any thing and now I’m behind. I haven’t even gotten a chance to post my weekend review.

Sorry to everyone for the unorganized comments. I am working on getting them tiered properly, so they are easier to read. May be time for a new theme. 🙂
